Reflecting on the last forty-one plus years of healthcare leadership in an exhaustive number of venues, I have recognized that there are but a few times that I have been able to work with the quality of people that are difference makers. I think back on individuals in different situations that I have respected, worked well with, and produced an outcome that was but a part of our forecasted strategy. But never until this later season of my life, have I been able to work with a more capable cohesive, purposeful team, as 3rd Ave West. Partnering with RHS, Rural Health Solutions, opened the door to this relationship. When I look at the ideal collaboration of expertise and experience, I recognize this team has brought forth every element required to be successful in building an integrated rural health system in such a way that creates profitability, excellent patient care, and long-term sustainability. Simply put, they check every box. Engaging and capable do not do this team justice. Suffice it to say, I have been working on this strategy to solve the rural healthcare crisis for decades and it has taken this team in our introduction to one another to recognize that this will no longer be a strategy but a reality. Thank you to the 3^rd Ave team for the efforts and heart to bring this mission to life and allowing me to recognize a lifelong goal.
